Impressions on I APAVAC Conference

On the 14th and 15th of October I APAVAC Conference was held in IES Abastos where several speakers lectured of various issues.

The Conference was organized in two days, Friday 16h-21.30h and Saturday 9h-14.30h. so  the 10 different sessions could have their time assigned.

We could consider it was a huge success because 96 teachers from all educational systems attended and  received very different and varied information: How to Make a Scrapbook, How CLIL is progressing
nowadays in Spain and abroad, How to Teach a Practical Class on English Poetry or improve English through Films etc, etc, etc.

APAVAC thinks the aims of the Conference were achieved because we wanted to give our English Teachers Members in our Comunitat a vast range of information ,practical and theoretical,  to allow  English professionals to be updated on any kind of new ideas, teachers training, teaching new currents, practical English classes even a look at the CEF (Common European Framework) and its connection with Language Teaching.

Finally and most importantly, APAVAC received the generous collaboration of all the Speakers involved in the Conference: Rodrigo Fernández Carmona (Teacher and Author), M. Jesús Frigols (Teacher and Teacher Trainer) M. Victoria Oliver from Castelló ( Teacher and Teacher Trainer), Ester Molina  (Primary Teacher, President of CETA  Córdoba English Teachers Association), IULMA ( Instituto Universitario de Lenguas Modernas Aplicadas), Patrick Howarth (from the BC, freelance Teacher Trainer and Course book writer), Beatriu Cardona (EOI teacher and Associate Teacher) and Miguel Martinez Lopez (Full Professor of English of the University of Valencia).

Re: cuota de sócio

Hola, yo soy socia desde el año pasado, y me gustaría saber si ya podemos ingresar la cantidad de la cuota (que no sé a cuanto asciende este año) o si vamos a esperar a saber alguna otra forma distinta a la transferéncia para pagarla.

La cuota sigue siendo 20€ y ya se puede ingresar la de 2012. Hay dos maneras de pagar la cuota de 2012.

Desde el blog tomando los datos de "per apuntar-vos" y haciendo una transferencia bancaria o desde el blog en la sección" Domiciliació de la quota de soci" en cuyo caso sólo tienes que dar  los datos que solicita el formulario y remitirlo (submit) y nosotros te pasaremos el cobro anualmente sin ninguna molestia por tu parte.

The English Teachers Association for Valencia , Alacant &  Castelló APAVAC after almost 20 months of being there are holding our first conference in October this year.
The Conference will  not only be a place where we  get together, share experiences and get in-depth knowledge of the latest trends of Languages acquisition  but will also be a showcase for all concerned to see how well the teachers of English get organised and how eager we are to learn and become better professionals.
Bear in mind that this conference is only possible thanks to membership fees and the generosity and effort of many.

You can also contribute by becoming a member.

How to join the conference:

You have to register in advance although anyone who is an ET can attend  registration will give you  priority.
Those who have not registered in advance will only be granted admission if there are enough sitting places.

How to become a member of our Association:
To join us at APAVAC you just  have to log in at our Blog

When: Friday 14 of October 2011 from 16.00 to 21.00 and Saturday 15 from 9.00 to 14.30

Where: IES Abastos in Valencia is in  a former Food Market where a number of other facilities are located including the restaurant “ Tastes of Temptation” for Friday dinner.

Certification: We are still waiting for our “Direcció General d’Educació i Qualitat Educativa” to instruct CEFIRE Valencia to provide certifications for a ten hour course in answer to our application.
