An association to unite us all who teach English professionally has been created. The aim is to share experiences, exchange materials and encourage further training with conferences, lectures and debates and ultimately become the voice of teachers of English and liaise with all those involved and especially with our educational authority.

End of the year APAVAC conference

Last 1st June, we had our final meeting at  IES Luís Vives where we enjoyed the lectures by Michelle Ann Prabhu "Tools of the trade of a wandering teacher" and Christa Mundin "Teaching pronunciations: The "Cinderella" of language teaching".

Both were interesting, practical and amusing.

The section "Presume de alumnos" was a great success!! Lots of us brought some written/paper stuff ranging from 1º ESO onwards. Others brought their recorded material from a variety of activities in the classroom.

After the meeting some of us stayed for lunch and had a very pleasant evening!

Looking forward to our well-deserved holidays!

See you back in September

As sent by a sore member

Hola,
