An association to unite us all who teach English professionally has been created. The aim is to share experiences, exchange materials and encourage further training with conferences, lectures and debates and ultimately become the voice of teachers of English and liaise with all those involved and especially with our educational authority.

21st Century Teaching Always on the Move

The 2014 convention theme, "21st Century Teaching: Always on the Move"
emphasizes that language learning has to adapt to an ever-changing reality and implies that we need to equip our students with 21st century skills if we want them to succeed. We welcome presentations which deal with those afore-mentioned 21st Century Skills (Critical Thinking and Problem solving, Creativity and Innovation, Communication and Collaboration, ICT literacy etc.) as well as those which are of wide general interest for language teachers working in different sectors and with students of all ages.

Valencia International Visits IES Malilla

Valencia International Visits IES Malilla

Valencia International Visits IES Malilla

For our second school visit we were invited to IES Malilla by English teacher Concha Pomares.
malilla1
Two groups of sixth formers listened attentively and asked lots of questions about Valencia’s on-line paperless English newspaper.
malilla2
Unfortunately the technology let us down a little and we weren’t able to see much of the newspaper or explain some of the other surprises we had in store so we are now looking for a further date to return and do the job properly.
Once again we invited students to collaborate by writing articles for us.
We were joined this time by our new collaborator Elena Tejador, Managing Director of Aula Inglés, who was able to answer the student questions that we couldn’t answer, mainly about summer jobs in Britain.
Our next stop is Manises on Monday 3rd February.
These visits are completely free and any school interested should get in touch with us.
