An association to unite us all who teach English professionally has been created. The aim is to share experiences, exchange materials and encourage further training with conferences, lectures and debates and ultimately become the voice of teachers of English and liaise with all those involved and especially with our educational authority.

APAVAC Book Club Next Reminder

Hiya all!

Here we are, once again, all revved up and raring to go after a lovely relaxing summer!

We're meeting, as usual, at Luis Vives, on the 16th of October 2015 at 1900hrs. Our book is " Etta and Otto and Russell and James " by Emma Hooper.
'Really looking forward to a nice long chat over Tea!

Take care

Michelle

"In Etta and Otto and Russell and James, Emma Hooper's intriguing debut novel, a woman in her early 80s rises early one morning on her farm in Canada's prairie province Saskatchewan, packs a few useful items in a bag, slings a rifle over her shoulder, and sets out on foot to see the ocean. When her husband, Otto, comes downstairs, some time later, he finds Etta's note – "I've never seen the water, so I've gone there" – and a pile of recipe cards so that he'll know how to feed himself while she is gone. Otto has never lived alone. Etta sometimes has trouble remembering who she is.   Which way has she gone.....?   "
