An association to unite us all who teach English professionally has been created. The aim is to share experiences, exchange materials and encourage further training with conferences, lectures and debates and ultimately become the voice of teachers of English and liaise with all those involved and especially with our educational authority.

PRESENTATION OF A NEW GUIDE BY ROBERT YAREHAM

Spanish Set Jetting Starts in Valencia
A new kind of travel guide will be presented in Valencia on Thursday 30th of April.
'A SET JETTERS Guide to SPAIN: 101 Locations' is a guide to where 101 of the most important English language films were made in Spain.
The book, written in accessible English, covers all of Spain, but was written in Valencia by local resident and editor of Valencia International, Bob Yareham who has taught and written in Valencia since 1981.
The international presentation of the book will take place at Valencia's iconic Hotel Astoria, itself a location for two English language films, including one from the Pink Panther series.
There will be two presentations; at 5 pm in Spanish, to which the Valencian and Spanish media are invited, and later at 7 pm, in English. Presiding the presentations will be Rafael Maluenda, director of the Valencia Film Festival.
Copies of the book, priced at 21 euros, will be on sale.
This will be the first of a series of presentations for educational institutions among others, including one in May for students and teachers at Valencia Polytechnic's Tourism School in Gandia in May.
The author has also devised an activity for educational institutions, through which students can learn about the rich history of the international cinema industry in Spain.
