L'Iber Museum and Valencia International, in collaboration with Silver Screen Spain, invite you to an evening in the museum to experience Hollywood & History as we hope your students will experience it.
Ten schools from all over the Valencian Community have already benefited from this free activity, sponsored by Banco Sabadell, whose purpose is to demystify historical films and explain the techniques of Hollywood in employing historical backgrounds to their films.
Teachers, whether English or History teachers, or teachers of any other subject, are invited to visit the museum, in Calle Caballeros, 22, on Wednesday 4th March, to see for themselves how the film Kingdom of Heaven by Ridley Scott is a mixture of historical fact and fiction, and to decide if their students could also benefit from the activity.
At 7 pm we will show you the museum as we show it to the students, starting in the 15th century Gothic patio, then at 7.30, Hollywood & History in the conference room.
The activity will finish at about 8.30/8.45 and teachers will be invited to comment on the activity, which we consider appropriate for Bachillerato students, although we have done it with students as young as 1st ESO.
The activity is obviously free and it is not necessary to make a reservation, although we would appreciate it if you let us know if you are coming.
